Ethnic Organisations Fund 2012–2015 open for tender
The Office of Multicultural Interests established the Ethnic Organisations Fund in 2009 to support organisations formed specifically to deliver services to culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) communities.
The fund is aligned with the Office of Multicultural Interests Strategic Plan 2009–2013.
Ethnic organisations are invited to make an offer that meets the objectives and priority areas identified within the Request for Service. Offers will be evaluated on the basis of the extent to
which they provide value for money to the State Party (Department of Local Government, Office of Multicultural Interests).
The
funding available for each service is between $50,000 and $100,000 per annum.

Ethnic Organisations Fund 2009–2012
In May 2009, the Office of Multicultural Interests announced the Ethnic Organisations Fund – a fund that supports organisations specifically formed to deliver services to culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
The Ethnic Organisations Fund was advertised on a competitive basis requesting applications for funding of $600,000 over a three-year period (2009–2012).
Funding was awarded to significant three-year projects that addressed the objectives and strategies contained in the Office of Multicultural Interests' Strategic Plan 2009–2013.
To be eligible for funding, projects had to address two or more of the objectives and one or more of the priorities listed below:
Objectives
- Participation:Full participation of culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) communities in social, economic and cultural life.
- Equity:Remove the barriers to equity experienced by CaLD communities.
- Promotion:Promote the benefits of Western Australia's cultural and linguistic diversity.
Priorities
- build the capacity of CaLD communities in employment, education, training, health, housing and settlement; and/or
- provide CaLD communities with the information, skills and opportunities to support successful integration and citizenship; and/or
- undertake research, consultation and partnerships to identify, advocate and address the needs of CaLD communities.
