The Office of Multicultural Interests (OMI) is calling for Expressions of Interest to attend a practical and interactive media training workshop.

Delivered by Simon Bailey from Counsel Communications, this day-long workshop will ensure you are fully equipped to deal with any media issue and interview situation.

Participants will gain an understanding of the media landscape in Australia and will be taken through:

  • media release writing
  • pitching to the media
  • media performance training
  • mock TV interviews and performance review

20 places are available with the selection process as follows:

Applicants must:

  • be between 18 and 26 years of age
  • come from a culturally and linguistically diverse background
  • be available to attend a workshop on 10 December 2022
  • agree to be photographed and these images being shared with OMI for reporting and promotional purposes.

Successful applicants will be selected by the OMI leadership team and notified by email.

The workshop will be held in a central location close to public transport.
