Page introduction (keep short).

The objectives of this training session, presented by Women's Health Strategy and Programs, are:

  • highlight the fact that we live in a highly multicultural society
  • gain a sense of the current state of health and well-being within migrant and refugee communities
  • highlight the healthcare needs of migrant and refugee communities
  • determine the barriers that these communities face to accessing healthcare services
  • highlight the need for the care given to these communities to be trauma-informed
  • identify the support services that are available to these groups
