Saga Sisterhood is a transformative storytelling project for women from communities who identify as South Asian that come from non-performer backgrounds but all have something to say about love, friendship, belonging, family and identity.
This year, Saga Sisterhood will run over four 2-hour workshops on Saturdays in October and November. Facilitated by creative writer, storyteller, artist, boxer and backyard comedian Shenali Perera, you will be in safe hands as we train you the fundamental skills of storytelling and provide you with an opportunity to share your unique story by the program’s end.
They are looking for stories about gender, family, love, intergenerational challenges, migrant experience, or any other experience of importance to you.
All workshops are completely FREE for participants. Saga Sisterhood was generously funded by the Alexandra & Lloyd Martin Martin Family Foundation (ALMFF).
