Project status: in development
The WA Government is considering enacting a Multicultural Act to support multiculturalism in Western Australia.
If passed, this new law will help make sure that people from all cultural, linguistic and religious backgrounds are treated equitably and can easily access government services.
The Office of Multicultural Interests (OMI) has undertaken a review to start the process, which will be followed by consultation with community, government and other stakeholders to get their views and feedback.
The consultation will give an opportunity for people to provide their thoughts on what a WA Multicultural Act could include.
This website will be updated with further information as it becomes available.
