A new resource that offers an insight into the role of artificial intelligence in providing language services is now available on the Office of Multicultural Interests’ (OMI) website.

Produced by OMI, Artificial Intelligence in Language Services takes a closer look at some of the benefits and drawbacks of using artificial intelligence tools as part of delivering interpreting and translating services.

The material includes outlining the definition of language services, considering the benefits and limitations of using artificial intelligence in language services as well as providing high level guidance for WA Government agencies.

It also features links to a range of resources that provide additional information such as Australia’s AI Ethics Principles and the WA Government Artificial Intelligence Policy.

You can read the Artificial Intelligence in Language Services factsheet in the publications section of the OMI website.
